My Story...

My name is Christine and I am the owner and maker behind Nicky's Country Crafts.  Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario I have been knitting since I was a little girl.  My mother taught me to knit the famous Grandma's Favourite Dishcloth when I was roughly 9 or 10 years old.  Growing up we always had handmade dishcloths in the kitchen, so naturally that trend continued with me into my own home.  

As my knitting hobby evolved, I ventured into the world of crochet and I loved it!  I found myself making baby blankets for my friends who were starting their families, as well as crocheting larger projects for my own family members.  

After my beloved Mother's sudden passing in January 2018, I found myself wanting to do something to honour her memory.  And so I thought, what better way to do that than by taking a hobby she taught me and share it with the world!  And so, Nicky's Country Crafts was born.

My goal with NCC is to provide long lasting quality items that are reusable and environmentally friendly.  Creating and sharing my products truly brings me joy, and as I put my Mother's name on each one, I can honestly say that they really are handmade with love.
